Not directed at anyone here but I don't get this too hard to vote business. You live in the area you have to vote in right? Why is it such a big deal to take 5 minutes out of our ever so busy lives to do our civic duty once every three years.
It literally took me 60 seconds to vote. I went at 4:30pm and the place was dead.
People will drive 30 minutes out of their way to get a free slurpee but won't take 5 minutes to vote in their own neighbourhood.
We get a 30% turnout because the other 70% don't care plain and simple. Or don't know enough (there are a couple of immigrants at work who have been here for quite some time who won't vote because they have no idea wtf is going on).
I just don't think a legitimate excuse for not voting is it's too difficult or too time consuming, but that's just me.
