I think the easiest way to change the rotation at will is to look at the leg she's sticking out. Every time it passes the other leg, you can decide if it's in front of it, or behind it. If you think to yourself "in front, behind, in front, behind" (or "behind, in front, behind, etc"), you can switch it easily.
That's what I have to do. It's neat that some posters find it easier to switch than others. I wonder why.
