Missing Blur, but given that Damon Albarn could cease to make music would make the hit harder to take. Certainly everyone has heard Gorillaz, but Albarn has a new project called "The Good, The Bad, and The Queen" to help fill in the gaps. It's decent. I think best bet is Graham Coxon gives up on the solo career and goes back with Albarn for a Blur reunion. Their collaborative efforts are superlative.
After hearing the new Smashing Pumpkins album (which, frankly, sucks) I have pined for their old material - I saw the band in one of their last-gasp performances in Deadmonton in the late 90's and it sucked. I guess I'm having pipedreams that SP could ever really be again.
Could Pavement do a reunion tour at least? For me? Malkmus fairs well enough on his own (I can attest, having seen him and the 'Jicks' live twice) but I am certain he is incapable, solo, of another Wowee Zowee, or Terror Twilight (god, I love that record). Yeah. Pavement. That's the band I am nostalgic for.
