Hell, a real ambitious plan could involve something of a ring line (also seen in London). That would keep people that are going from say the south to the university off the trains destined for the core.
I know, this is all wayyy off in the future.

It just kind of annoys me that we have all this space and we don't use it properly. We don't have the same issues that bigger older cities have like having to tunnel to build a transit system. We have all the space in the world. Might as well build a helluva transit system while the real estate's relatively cheap.
London's system is great, NYC's is amazing, both have similar spoke systems that consolidate into busy areas like TC or 34th St Penn Station, but this is Calgary, we need alot more density and people to support spokes and hubs. Let's walk before we run and have more than three legs before we start taking on models such as London's.
