On a last minute whim I went to Halifax this weekend with some friends. We were picking up one guy I know in the south end. As we were picking him up, there was a group of people standing on a step on the street. One guy had an 80's Flames jersey on. Someone bad mouthed the Flames to him, loudly. So I chime in from the car, "HEY, DON'T BE TRASH TALKIN' THE FLAMES!!!"
A girl on the step yells "are you really a Flames fan"
I reply "of course, greatest team on Earth. You know what they say, the sky is blue and the sea is red."
And it went over all their heads.
I guess I can't expect much in the East, but hey, I tried right.
If I ever get to Calgary again I'll be dropping that line like Snoop Dog drops it like it's hot.
