Scientists are not nearly as cut and dry as everyone else, and their effort is a collaboration and all around much more trustworthy. I just want to throw out that scientists that are motivated to get grants from the government might alter their findings to what the politician wants just to receive the grant/keep receiving the grant.
There is a lot of junk being thrown out there by a lot of people. However, personally, I just think there is more junk being thrown out there by the Al Gores of the world
