Default Khabibulin On Pace For 58 Points

Boston (AP)- With 2 assists in just 3 games this year, Bruins goalie Nikolai Khabibulin is on pace for a record setting 58 points. An early season injury to Sheldon Souray has forced GM KevanGuy to use Khabby in a less than conventional way. "Well, I talked to Nik and I told him with Shelly out we need you to start getting up into the play. I am counting on you to be our leading puck moving defenseman. I think he is up to the challenge and clearly the points back me up."

Khabibulin was quite vocal about his love for his new role and for the GM, "Yeah, love all it". This isn't the first time the brave (and best looking) GM in the CPHL has looked at conventional thinking and smashed it in the face. Veteran followers of the league will recall an incident involving one Claude Lapointe.

Can Nick keep up this pace? Time will tell, but this reporter is willing to go out on a limb and predict that he probably won't. But if he does, that will be a hell of a thing.
