Oh yeah I forgot about that aliens = demons thing.. I remember one speaker predicting that within a few years a flying saucer would land on the lawn of the White House and aliens would walk out and make peace. Of course no one calls these guys on this stuff (when Biblically a false prophet is supposed to be put to death).
And yeah, anti-catholicism and pro-Israel was driven into me, to the point where I still can't read any news about the middle east without trying to defend Israel in a they-can-do-no-wrong way.
When I started to find out about all the different sects of Christianity there were in the times before the Bible was canonized, and how even for that there's 5000 different manuscripts that contain fragments of early writings and how not a single one of those 5000 agree with each other, well that leads me to change the whole foundation of things.
For me the whole creation vs. evolution thing was a huge factor as well.
