I was in La Jolla about a month ago, love the city (San Diego). You can go paragliding and sea kayaking and stuff like that. Its more of a flashy life style then Canada, but like alot of US cities, you get some real low slums in there as well and its kind of dirty.
Mexican food is super great there.
San Diego is definatly a place I'm interested in moving to a a few years
