Someone pulled a hit and run on me a few years back. Made the phone call and the police said to come down and fill out a report. Magicly the woman who hit me returned to the scene of the crime in tears and admitted guilt. Husband said she panicked. Luckily for her the damage was under a $1,000 or she would have been up the creek without a paddle.
I got a couple of quotes as the couple didn't want go throught insurance. They gave me cash, i signed some paper stating I wouldn't come after them for more, and I got er fixed.
