Allrighty then...I'm feeling a little stupid, so I'll ask another one:

To connect TV to DVD/Receiver...6-foot lengths or less...which of the available products would you, the HD oracles, recommend? Selection of monoprice HDMI cables is here.

I see cheap-ass ones at 28 AWG, and a couple of more expensive ones at 24 AWG.
