1. What are your views regarding sex outside of marriage?

I think the boundry of marriage itself isn't necessary, however it does provide some framework to other things that constitue a healthy relationship that sexual activity can be a component of.

However part of me does regret not going to Cancun for spring break

2. What are your views regarding homosexual or lesbian relationships?

In the context of the relationship itself it is fine. In the context of society I can understand some of the concerns posted by opponents about the affect on society as a whole but I don't think they're significant enough to warrant any kind of intervention by society, at least not without much more information.

3. Wht are your views on abortion?

I think it's highly unfortunate that it's so commonplace; I would have hoped people would avail themselves of all the alternatives. If it was me, I would choose to put the child up for adoption. However I don't think it's "wrong".

4. Do you believe in moral absolutes (ie: that there are some things that are always right or wrong regardless of culture or religion)?

I think that there are some universal moral standards, but wouldn't go so far as to call them absolutes. Some things we, as a species or as sentient beings, should have as minimum standards of behaviour. But I'm also pragmatic and sometimes these things might not apply, or might need to bend so I don't want to call them absolutes.

5. What, in your view, is the purpose of life?

As a species I think mostly our purpose is to exist and procreate. But to me that gives each member a purpose; to facilitate and either not hinder or better yet assist in that larger purpose. My purpose is to improve things for my progeny, or at the very least not make it worse.

6. What is your view of the Bible and what role should it play in our lives?

I think the Bible is simply a book written by men to express themselves, their thoughts, ideas, morals, troubles, etc. I think it is worthy of study and has some excellent points. "Should" is a difficult thing though, that assumes that there's some way to measure the positive and negative effects of a role, and I'm not sure there is. What role do I think it should play, I think it's an important thing and worthy of being studied.

7. Do you go to church? If so, how often?

I still do, but not very often, I would like to find a church more focused on real things.
