Sorry to hear Reggie. It's amazing how we can get so attached to our pets. Though I don't have a dog right now (I used to), I am a pet owner, and I hope I can get many happy days with my animal before he dies.
One word of advice people, don't get a chinchilla. They may be rodents, but they're more dog like than any rodents I have ever seen. The day I lose him will be one of the saddest days of my life.
