I hear you Shnab. I don't mind being an Oilers fan these days. I look at us (Hall, Omark, Pavari and Eberle = HOPE) and the Flames (no hope) and silently chuckle. I'm hoping for a low finish this season for a high draft choice (there is a certain big centre I have my eye on) and then they give 'er next season with more bullets in the chamber.

Well, to be fair Moneyguy, us Oiler fans (and I mean ALL of us) said that Cogs, Gagner, Shremp, and Nilsson were all gonna be superstars, remember? Clearly this group of young upstarts currently wearing the copper and blue are destined for the same level of failure. As well, the Flames are currently flush with amazing prospects who will all be superstars. Nemisz, Wahl... oh that guy in the 'Dub... and Chucko still has time to rebound and become a NHLer.

The last couple years have been tough to deal with, but now that the Oilers are committed to a rebuild, and watching the skilled kids we have... I don't mind being a Oilers fan these days either. Gonna be some harsh realities to deal with in Calgary sooner than later.
