Apparently, nothing is going to happen until Parliament resumes, which will be the first week of February... Joy!

Transit's not coming back. Period. I've come to that conclusion - well I know it will eventually, but....yuck.

So, being new to ottawa and having very limited mobility, can people suggest some things I can check out? I live down near the Elmvale Mall area/about 5 km walk to the big St. Laurent Mall.

Suggestions? I did find an ok chinese food restaurant last night (just basics, nothing fancy, but it was ok).

Well, if you like Museums, there's the Science and Technology museum very close to you... Dooly's is a good hangout if you have friends and like/want to play pool and consume alcohol... Otherwise... you're pretty screwed where you are without buses...

Isn't there a Local Heroes around there? Not a bad spot to watch a game.

It's a lousy part of town to be with a car or public transit though.

Is Local Heroes any good? I walked by it (on St. Laurent) on Sunday and it looked closed actually, although I didn't walk right by. Went to Liam McGuire's instead. I have gone there a couple of times, not too bad a place although is missing just that little extra. Oh well. We'll have to do a CP drink thing - as long as its someplace I can walk to .;

If we do have a CP Ottawa meet, I'll volunteer to drive...
