there's some good water at Fish Creek park on both sides of the river. The trick with the Bow in city limits (or anywhere on the Bow) is to keep walking until you find some fishy water. What you're looking for are shallow riffles. Not the best water to fish but right after it usually has some deep choppy water (not white water) just deep and choppy. The trout will sit here because of a) the oxygen rich water being rushed down from the riffle b) the bug life being rushed down from the riffles c) the larger rocks and boulders will be here giving current break for the trout to hold without expelling loads of energy fighting the current and d) the chop will offer protection from predators. This is called a prime lie. After the deep choppy water, you'll find deep slow water (a pool), you should find fish here as well but more so in the colder months as this is where the trout will over winter. When fishing the chop, look for seems on the water where fast water meets slow water. The trout will tend to gather on the slower side of the seem and will move out into the faster water to feed on whats coming down then move back to the slower water.

Hey guys,
I have a buddy that guided for a local fly shop in town here and I believe he still has his boat. I can try and line something up for August if you guys are interested. It certainly won't be $500 a head. Let me know, and I'll track him down.

Thanks Flacker - that sounds good.
Slava and I are going out tonight. I'll post some pictures if we catch some nice fish.

Slava and I got skunked at Waiporous Creek. We walked too far, and didn't see many fish. Nothing rising. Some really nice holes - it was probably too early in the season to be there.
