Congratulations to Dallas Braden and the Oakland A's. The 19th perfect game in MLB history. Very cool.

And he is the first A's pitcher since Dave Stewart (1990 vs Toronto) to throw a no hitter! Unbelievable!

Good for him, I wonder what A-rod is thinking right now (that is of course if he thinks about anything at all)..

That was awesome, the MLB tv account just paid for itself. Must admit the serious lump in the throat watching him hug his grandmother.

Against a pretty good team in the Rays as well so thats no cheapie. Too bad SportsNet had to cut away so we could watch the riveting Hockey Central with even lamer Sunday analysts. Actually after they did that...I decided picking up all the dog crap in my back yard and emptying the cats litter boxes was a more enjoyable thing to do.

Second straight season that someone has thrown a perfect game against the Rays.

Mark Buehrle threw one last July.

Former Vancouver Canadian as well, the A's organization generates some serious talent.

But.... I thought he just had a handful of wins?

pretty awesome to mow down 27 Rays, that's a special result for sure.

Good job Dallas as this has much more meaning to him as he lost his mother on Mother's Day in High School.

A little levity here considering the timing came on "Going To Bat Against Cancer" day.

Here is the video that shows the last 3 outs and the celebration with his grandmother.

Yeah considering Steve Irwin couldn't even take one, so 27 is special. But seriously kind of amazing that theres 2 perfect games in the past year and both against one team.

A guy that had never pitched even 8 innings in a game before in his career, wow.

Yeah mistake on my part, I was getting my ass kicked this week and didn't think I could afford another bad outing.
