It just continues in a spellbinding fashion as the Caps make trade after trade after trade. Rebuilding takes years is the usual hockey wisdom. Well not in the CPHL. Capitals moved another slew of vets out the door and welcomed in some real bluechip young talent in their place.
Gone are Boucher, Denis, Schwab, Scatchard, Bougnecki, Antropov and Hutchins.
Into the Caps fold are Hemsky, Auld, Ahonen, Sharp(as soon as the deal is done correctly), O'Sullivan, Whitney, Wellar and a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th round picks.
Capitals now boast the likes of Mara, Pitkanen, Whitney, Suter, Tanabe, Visnevski, Thelen et. al. on the blueline.
Goal is more than solid with Fleury, Ahonen and Auld.
Up front the Caps have Horton, Lombardi, Sharp, Taffe, Dixon, Nederost, O'Sullivan, Richards, Hemsky, Salmelainen, Carter, Stone, Booth, Wellar and Bellamy.
Plus the Capitals still have Zhamnov, Ricci, McAmmond and Timmander who are looking for new homes!!!!!
