Kenny vs. Spenny tonight

That had to be fake. If you didn't watch, but want to know what happened, the competition was who could "bone" the most chicks, with them receiving points for getting to all three bases. Spenny hit the jackpot with one girl...but it turns out she was a guy. I figured that was the case, but man that was funny.

I guess I've always figured the show is somewhat real and fake at the same time, but that had to have been faked...no?

I've heard that the entire show is fake now. They don't even live in the house that they appear to on the show.

I think it's obvious they don't live in the house, they obviously never did. It's a house they "live" in when filming the show.

I also think it's obvious the show is scripted somewhat. Still funny as hell at times.

This wouldn't surprise me at all. I'm a big fan of the show, but too often now you can just tell that it's all a setup. I don't think it's just convenient the way things work out, they're obviously planned.

As soon as "Tara" walked in and said hello, I knew instantly that it was a dude, and that Spenny would be instantly "attracted" to her. It was pretty obvious, but it was still funny seeing everything go down.

I didn't see the episode in question, but it's been pretty easy to suggest that this show is somewhat scripted.

Take one of their earlier episodes "Who can produce the most sperm". Kenny walks into a dentist clinic, dressed as something that I would relate to a taliban member, and runs out the back door with one of those teeth x-ray machines. Manages to get it up stairs, while Spenny is sleeping, and takes shots of his wanker, thinking the radiation from the x-ray machine would cause him to go limp.

Really?

But others seem to be legit, for the most part. "Who can commit the most crime" is easily my all time fave episode.

I think for the most part it's pretty legit, but I also think they will take liberties when they can. Some of Kenny's "tricks" seem a little too much to be real, but I think ultimately the challenges are real.

The octopus one was hilarious. My personal favorite was the haunted house one. Just so much bizarre crap going on like the donkey costume and then the severed goat head.... there is no way that at least part of this show is not set-up.

In the commentary for that episode, Kenny says of course he didn't actually x-ray Spenny while he slept, but he made it look like he did so Spenny would flip out when he saw the footage.

Spenny actually did an interview for CJSW's comedy show about a month or so ago. It was fairly interesting. I can't remember all of what he said, but if I remember correctly he said something along the lines that they try to make it as genuine as possible. But things like Kenny cheating are assumed, and he is allowed to do it because it's entertaining. Spenny's camera crew is made aware of Kenny's plans before hand to ensure they capture Spenny's reaction. For the most part it sounded like most of what they do is real, with some stuff thrown in purely for entertainment value. I think I have a link to the recording somewhere, if anyone is interested I could dig it up.

Yeah, the show is obviously fake... which is too bad, if it was real it'd be one of the best shows on television. Being fake, it's just semi-interesting if nothing else is on. Not sure why, but that's how I see it.

I also liked the one where they're going to race rats. Spenny gets a regular rat, and Kenny shows up with some south american jungle rat that's the size of a dog.

I find that show can be really hit and miss. That episode was awesome, other episodes are pretty poor.

The one where they had a contest to see who could go longest without getting a boner was pretty good. When Kenny got that male stripper to give Spenny a boner was pretty damn funny.

I was refering to the look Kenny was giving Spencer. That deadpan, 'eat this' look, while he's just absolutely destroying the ozone layer.

It's definitely getting more and more fake, but still damn hilarious.

Rewatched a few scenes from last nights episode, and its pretty ridiculous. The scene where he supposedly making out with the transvestite you never actually see them kissing. Just heads moving back and forth... looks kind of like two kids pretending to make out. Pretty ridiculous.

Props to Spenny for being comfortable enough with his manhood to do something like that on international television. I most likely would not..

When he broke the coffee table and then Spenny attacked Kenny's mom, hilarious. The sauna thing was overboard fake to me though, I mean why the hell would Spenny go in it? And his plan to lure Kenny was just lame. The ant backfire was pretty funny too.

The gorilla episode was awesome, monumental laughs. Spenny laying half dead inthe sauna was great, but was an idiotic plan that was.

Testees was on last big and was pretty brutal. I was hoping for a better series than it is, with Kenny being the creator and all.

Who Can Wear a Gorilla Suit the Longest?


The Gorilla is an endangered species. For Kenny to mock my efforts to use the show to raise awareness of the fate of the mountain gorillas is truly beyond my capacity to understand. For whatever reason, Kenny and I have a voice on television, and we should, whenever possible, use that voice to in some small way try to help something other than ourselves…a concept that Kenny could never grasp. Gorillas are gentle, vegetarians and killing them so that some can have an ashtray to butt-out his cancer stick is not exactly a high water mark of human achievement. It’s low…even by Kenny’s standards.

This competition was a sham. Either I have a mole in my midst, or Kenny is so obsessed with beating me that it’s becoming impossible for me to play out any of my secret plans without joining a witness protection program. Both my sauna and ant strategies were hijacked, and if I ever find out that there actually is a mole, or some sort of subterfuge within the production office, I will go public and out the rat(s) in no uncertain terms. Kenny is a rat on his own…he shouldn’t have any help. And I’ll say it again…we need some sort of governing body for this series!!!

Lastly, let me mention the fact that Kenny, my “best friend”, thought it a competitive strategy to light my head on fire in order to win the competition. Nice. Let’s suppose for a moment that the entire costume became a conflagration and I was covered head to toe with 3rd degree burns. Funny stuff. For the record, this is something I would never do to him…it’s a crazy little thing called behaving like a civilized human being. Luckily, I only lost a competition and didn’t end up with years of skin grafts in some burn ward. You see, unlike Kenny, I have a somewhat healthy sense of relativity: losing a competition is preferable to being burnt alive in a gorilla costume.

For those of you who think this is the logic of a loser…then so be it. This episode clearly illustrates that Kenny will do ANYTHING to win. Sound familiar: Enron, Nazi Germany, Wall Street, Tonya Harding. Congratulations Kenny. You’re in good company.

I'm sure they'll get around it somehow. Although, how they can ban showing that, but showing a super zoomed in close up of a cow sphincter taking a giant dump, (TWICE!), is perfectly fine.

I thought today's episode (along with last weeks) was forgettable. The pube-biscuit was gross and funny, but overall, the episode wasn't up to par. The Gorilla episode had the possibility of being this season's random Who Can Keep and Octopus on Their Head The Longest, but fell flat. Yesterday's one had the chance to be the best ever, but was fairly predictable when Kenny went for the mass-pissoff strategy.

BTW: Is that Bobby guy ######ed? What an oddball.
