I don't understand why people would want to read other peoples personal blog if you don't know them unless there is some sort of general information on there.

Someone suggested I start one, and so I did awhile back. I never posted in it. I realized I didn't really have anything to say. I felt like everything that I would have written was probably already written by someone else, and in a more entertaining fashion.

I don't read any blogs that are about people's daily lives or that type of thing, cause I don't care. (It's funny that people have blogs that are essentially diaries about their lives.) I read specialized blogs about hockey, in particular the Sens, and a few other specific type blogs. Some of them can be really well written, informative and entertaining.

Mine for the most part just follows my writing career, though I occasionally post about other things that interest me. Really trying to get into the habit of using it more frequently.

I didn't mean personal blog as in your personal life.
I meant it's your own blog about anything you like.

I figured since you all post in the off-topic forum and have alot of interests, you might have a space to put those thoughts.

I like to know about other people and their accomplishments and learn from them. You can learn alot about others without having to know their name.
Reading over habernac's blog for example I see that he's been active and losing weight. (Something I need to start doing)

It's the opposite actually. Since I'm around food all day the last thing I want to do is eat. It's a really good way to loose weight actually.

Awesome idea Table 5.

I have a blog but it consists solely of white space and default blogging software links that go to other pages with an equal amount of white space.

I do however have a side project that I am working on with a friend that is finding some success and may interest some people around here. Its about ships.

The blog I write for:
http://clast.diamondagency.jp
That and another side project (plus the fact I don't get to see as many games as I like), has cut down on my posting here over the last year +. The theme, broadly, is Japanese consumer insight and analysis, with the occasional "weird Japan" moment.

Woo Hoo... part of my blog will be published in the February/March print edition of albertaviews magazine.

I know this will be a massive shock to OzzyFlame who questions my writing ability....:D Not to worry, I was pretty surprised too.

And I am sure there will be a few who will get a kick out of a rightwing radical, being published in a small "l" liberal magazine. ;)

Wildrose Alliance invite to bloggers of all stripes

I would like to invite Bloggers and Tweets of all political stripes to attend the Wildrose Alliance Leadership Convention in Edmonton October 17 at the Holiday Inn Convention Centre.

For just $30.00 (same price members will pay) you can have lunch, mix, mingle and be there first hand when the results come in!!

You can register online here. Then drop me an email with your blogs URL and I will add a link to your blog on my Executive Director’s blog. (Your real name will NOT be revealed.) I will also provide you with the discount code for accommodations at the centre.

http://janemorgan.blogspot.com/2009/09/invite-to-bloggers-of-all-stripes.html (http://janemorgan.blogspot.com/2009/09/invite-to-bloggers-of-all-stripes.html)
... and the party got kudos from blogger Ken Chapman.

http://ken-chapman.blogspot.com/2009/09/wildrose-alliance-invites-bloggers-to.html
Excerpt:

This initiative will be good for the credibility of the WAP. It frames them as an open and accountable party who are demonstrating a commitment to free speech and supporting serious citizen engagement in politics. They also get enormous amounts of free publicity and new media coverage that will be more fact based and biases (like mine) more exposed as well.

Now I wonder if my party, the Progressive Conservative Party of Alberta will do the same thing at its November Annual General Meeting in Red Deer. That is when the party delegates will have a confidence vote on Premier Stelmach's leadership.

I guess it's not exactly a blog, but I've been publishing an online high school sports magazine for the last few years. I started it because I'm a fan of high school sports and felt coverage was lacking a little bit. The site that's up now is sooooo 2007, but the face lift will be live in a week or so, including a podcast that I'm pretty pumped about.

I'm just getting going here, but I'm running a marketing blog. Figure I should have an online presence of some sort to back it up when I say I really am tech savvy.

Just put it up other day, so I would appreciate any twitter followers, comments, feedback, etc. And yes, a domain is coming.
