Try compressed air and blow out any dust inside - it may be accumulating dust and that will cause it heat, as dust is an insulator, not a conductor of heat.

What the man above said. That is one of the few downsides to laptops, very difficult to open and blow out all the dust that accumulates. Especialy if you live in a dusty/smokey enviroment. Dust bunnies galore my friend.

A few Toshiba models had their intake vent on the bottom and were infamous for acting like a dustbuster; just inhaling all the crumbs and bunnies on the table around where it was sitting.
