Nabokov Off To The Swamp

The struggling Boston Bruins made a major trade tonight shipping off under-performing Evgeni Nabokov and Martin Grenier to the New Jersey Devils for Mike Dunham, Christian Berglund , Mike Richards and Derrick Walser.

"If we are going to lose we might as well lose with a couple decent prospects in the system. Dunham has similar numbers to Nabby and is cheaper. Overall we are happy with the deal. We are sorry to see Nabby go but he wasn't stealing games like we need him too," GM KevanGuy commented after the trade.

SWAMPY TIMES

Meadowlands--Devils GM Mike Walsh announced this evening that the Devils acquired superstar goalie Evgeni Nabokov and young defenceman Martin Grenier. The Devils sent defenceman Derrick Walser, goalie Mike Dunham, forward Christian berglund and prospect Mike Richards.

Once again we have given up alot but inorder to get superstar players you have to make sacrifices and we've done that tonight. We expect Nabby to come in here and win us a bunch of games and continue to help us climb up the standings.

Interesting tidbit KG. Didn't know he was an original member of your team.

In two seasons Nabokov had a Stanley Cup win, and an appearance in the Cup finals. Oilers should have been on the ball to grab this guy. Wheres the kick myself emoticon?
