I had my best CFL predictions last week and almost went perfect. Hamilton is the one that ruined my week, though. Well, this coming week, I am hoping for a perfect score but I doubt I will.

Calgary at Montreal - I am a HOMER so I cannot help but pick my hometown team Stampeders even though they are playing in Montreal. I think Montreal is beatable as they are still struggling. Lucky win against Toronto last week. As far as the Stamps goes, if Hank plays another consistent and safe game again, they will win by at least 3.

Saskatchewan at Toronto - Riders is hot right now. Toronto lost another QB in injuries with good old Damon Allen. THe guy should be put into pasture soon. Riders will win by at least two TDs.

Winnipeg at B.C. - Winnipeg cannot beat a bad Hamilton TigerCats team last game so I don't expect them to beat the best team in the CFL even with the 3rd string QB is playing. Some of BC's banged up DBs will probably ok to come back for this game so BC will win it.

Hamilton at Edmonton - I would hate myself for this, but I don't have any choice and pick the Eskimos to win. I think Ricky Ray played well last game and his game will continue. Jesse Lumsden might have a field day against the 'smos but one player cannot beat the opposing team all the time. Look for AJ Gass to atone for his boneheaded tamtrum last game against the Stamps. Ricky Ray will have a good day vs Hamilton's defense. I am sure Eskimos defense will play a lot better than last few games. I hope I am wrong on this one. I will still cheer for Hamilton but I think Edmonton will win it by at least 10.

Could be some great news for the Stamps this week.

Anthony Calvillo, nursing a sore groin, didn't practise for the second straight day Monday. Instead, it was Marcus Brady, who worked with the starting offence. If Calvillo doesn't practise today, general manager/head coach Jim Popp will have a decision to make.

More information for that game:

Demitrious Maxie is back for limited reps for the Stamps due to two defensive linemen going down in Edmonton.

Calgary at Montreal - if calvillo is hurt and plays then they will lose. if he doesnt' start they will lose because brady is garbage. either way only way mtl wins this game is by picking off burris three or more times. 29-17

Saskatchewan at Toronto - same as last week, the best defence in the cfl faces a team that has no QB. riders destroy them. riders put up more than 40 points for the 3rd time and allow less than 10 for the 4th time in seven games.
45-6

Winnipeg at B.C. - see post last week about bubble bursting for win who had such an easy first 6 games. 24-18 BC

Hamilton at Edmonton - hamilton isn't as bad as their record suggests and edmonton isn't as good as theirs suggests. hamilton beats up on the worst defence in the cfl. 31-16

Calgary at Montreal - Montreal has injury problems, running back problems and a bad o-line. Calgary will be a tired team, but should be ok.
Saskatchewan at Toronto - After a hot start, the Argo's have huge QB problems and have cooled off. The Riders are playing as well as they will play all year. Winnipeg at B.C. - B.C. is going to be pissed at thier last game, and pornstar will be taking snaps.
Hamilton at Edmonton - Edmonton is bad against the run, and worse with Gass on the sidelines. Hamilton has looked very good over the last few weeks, and are finally getting rewarded.

Calgary at Montreal Another short week for the Stamps...tough schedule
Saskatchewan at Toronto Luckey Riders two straight third stringers
Winnipeg at B.C. Leo's asking too much from the D right now
Hamilton at Edmonton Hamilton finally figured out that if they use Lumsden....well he can put up numbers in this league.

Does anyone know if the HAM-EDM game is going to be on tonight? I can't find it on my program guide but I am not sure of all the channels that would show the CFL.

edit: NM I must have over looked CBC I see it now :)

Bah, I'd be alone in first place if I had have come on and changed my pick in the BC/Winnipeg game like I intended to. :) Tight game for the Eskimos tonight, Morgan really got away with one at the end.

Yeah he really did get away with PI but those are the breaks that seem to be going against Hamilton all year long.

Wish I didn't miss the first 4 weeks...

One thing that pisses me off about this week is I always bet on what games I pick on here but I thought Calgary was the home team so I selected the wrong side :(
