Did not see anything posted yet and only 30 minutes to go, so I figured it should be kept all in one thread as we don't really need 30 threads for 30 picks :)

Just a question, as I have not watched many drafts on TV. The Flames pick 18th. When can that be expected to happen?

I know it may vary depending on player movement/activity, but what's a good ballpark time? 5:30? 6:00?

It's a 3 hour broadcast so you should figure on something between 6:30-7:00.

Or in other terms - by around the 4th beer.

They have to give teams time to adjust to who was taken and to possibly make deals between picks. The NFL first round takes like five hours.

Considering that they didn't start until 5:20 and there are 30 picks it really only mean about 5-6 minutes for each pick.

Did the US win the WJHC?

The way the TSN guys go on about how Kane dominated it and the way the JOhnsons were outstanding you would have thought that the US cruised to victory.

Kane dominated the weaker teams but against Canada he had one assist and was shut down by the big, physical defensemen of Canada. His team lost to Germany and they needed OT to make the medal round. Doesn't sound like domination to me.
