Game 3 actually, and hopefully the Hitmen make things a lot easier on themselves this time than the last two times they have faced Lethbridge. We also need to make up for a very disapointing weekend.

yeah your right it is the 3rd game of the homestand, just a typo on my part...hopefully Scott Bowles rebounds from a rough weekend and gets back on track.

BTW-the Hitmen are down to 5 healthy d-men. Both harder and rogers are out for a couple weeks each. Kisio has no plans of acquiring another d-man to fill in unless he loses another current d-man to an injury.

Not a great game by the Hitmen...Spence made some really good saves to keep them in it...that save right at the beginning of the 1st period was a great save.

You know, it just wouldnt be right if a Calgary hockey team didnt frustrate the hell out of me. Once again, the Hitmen p*ssed away a point becuase of a retartedly STUPID penalty. Way to go O'Malley! Good job costing your team a win! :angry:

Also, the Pushkarev-Gulasi fight was a textbook argument in favor of the two referee system. I didn't see it, but I presume that Pushkarev got the double minor for butt ending before the fight. As the play went up the ice, Gulasi wanted some retribution. He crosschecked Pushkarev in the back of the neck, then dropped his gloves to initiate the fight. The referee saw neither, as he was looking at the play up the ice, not behind him. Pushkarev beat the crap out of Gulasi, but I'm guessing he took the unsportsmanlike for grabbing Gulasi's hair and pulling his head back to get another good shot...

So, Calgary ends up down for six minutes, instead of the two we'd be down with two referees. Ahh well, it all turned out alright with Ladd's great shortie. :)

Pushkarev: great fight
Spence: another very good game, though he still scares the crap out of me at times.
Ladd: First game I saw him actually give a crap out there. Still taking too many penalties.
Getzlaf: What the hell did he do to deserve a 10 minute misconduct? He's the Captain Ref! He is allowed to protest garbage calls!

Is it just me, or was the team just happy to get the tie once that game went to overtime? No inspiration at all.

This team has frustrated me for years now, lack of discipline, lack of effort, and they don't play for a full 60 minutes. Getzlaf maybe the best player on team but I don't like him as the captain, I don't care if ref made a bad call giving him the 10 minutes, he needs to stay out of the box...he is needed on the ice. Tomanek was invisible again after starting out good, I really like Alzner and Kohn. Why did Spence play last night? Not that he played bad but I was expecting Bowles to be back in...oh well another lost point but they are still doing alright its just frustrating when we all know they could be so much higher in the standings.

I agree with the frustrating comments. I dont miss that feeling. I sure am gld Pushkarev decided to come over. He has really added some excitment in a few pretty dull games.
