I'm very disappointed that Genndy Tartakovsky (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genndy_Tartakovsky) isn't involved with the series (I think his work is amazing, the animated Clone Wars series was more entertaining than Episodes I-III all put together).

But it does look like they went with styled characters similar to his. We'll see how this turns out, but looks pretty good so far.

And for those who've never seen Clone Wars, one of the best fights in it is here. Asajj is one of my favorite characters:

Yeah, That scene is awesome. None of the prequels make sense without this little series.

This plus the game Knights of the Old Republic are better than the movies IMO.

That was the mistake that hurt the movies, the clone wars series explained enough, especially why Grievous was coughing all the time.

I'm looking forward to this series, and the live action series thats suppossed to start next year.

As an anime freak, I think the battle scenes are very good. However, seems like the north american artists are taking cues from the japanese. We never really used to see battle scenes like this in NA cartoons before.

Not a fan of the hundreds of lazer shots that missed the target everytime from a GI Joe or Tansformer gun?

Take the intro to 'GI Joe: The Movie':

They just don't make them like that anymore... lol.

I always thought that GI Joe was about as stupid as a James Bond villian.

I think after the first week of that cartoon, the writers were mailing it in.

This wiki quote from the Genndy Tartakovsky info pleases me:
He has also been pitching a cartoon series of Stephen King (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_King)'s The Dark Tower (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dark_Tower_%28series%29) to HBO (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HBO).

I've got to get that series on DVD, I never saw the whole thing!
The new stuff looks amazing. Both the look and the storylines should hold up.

I often wonder how Cobras can afford losing so many men and ships and keep functioning. They must have Bill Gates funding their evil ventures or something.

Robot chicken has had a couple of really well done skits making fun of GI-Joe

One is a day in the life at Cobra and featues a really uncomfortable sexual harrasment moment between the baroness and cobra commander.

The other was a day in the life of Snowjob, one of GI-Joe's worst hero characters where he's tricked into a huge mission that includes shoveling the sidewalk in front of Joe HQ.

Entire Clone Wars Series coming to Netflix March 7th.

The Galactic Republic, Disney/ABC Television Group, Lucasfilm and Netflix Inc. today announced the highly-anticipated debut of the sixth and final season of the Emmy Award-winning series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" exclusively to Netflix members in the U.S. and Canada on Friday, March 7. I'm surprised the Star Wars nerds here haven't posted these yet:

There've also been a few leaks about some of the characters, including a former jedi in hiding.

There have been lots of really interesting character leaks including a bleed through or two from the clone wars.

The villain who looks to be a Inquisitor type looks very cool.

I would expect that we might see appearances by Palpatine, we probably won't see much of Vader in the series except from afar.

Daniel Logan who played Bobba Fett in attack of the Clones and voiced his character in clone Wars will also return.
