Who would have ever thought? Especially when they were down 3-0 to the Yanks. Truly unbelievable.

Not a massive baseball fan (except to watch to see if Jason Bay from the Pirates wins the N.L. ROY) but I was rooting for the Sox to win, especially over the Yanks.

Great story.

Boston should be rockin' tonight..............gonna be a lot of people calling in sick to work tomorrow.........

Is it just me, or is the Stanley Cup celebration the best out of all the other North American sports? The fans aren't even a part of the MLB or NBA celebrations, and the fact that they hand the trophy to the owner, instead of the team captain irks me.

Darn. This might give the Leafs some hope. Really now if the Redsox can win then anybody has a chance right?

Hahaha... great topic title. Indeed, I learned 3 things today:

1.) Hell has frozen over.
2.) The better team actually won.
3.) My sudden interest in baseball means I am in severe hockey denial.

There is still hope for Leaf Haters. The Cubs are about to enter their 97th season since they last won the Series.

That and the fact that they haven't won squat since the league expanded past six teams. :D

Definitely more passion in hockey fans. I was in Boston for the celebrations after Game 7 against the Yankees and I was in Calgary for the cup and believe it or not, it was much crazier in Calgary.

Good for them. The better team (with more heart) won. This has been the first world series that I've watched or had a passing interest in for a long time. Looks good on A-rod and the rest of the Yankees.

Very erie that the moon turned red tonight, quite the storybook ending to the most well-known curse in pro-sports. The bloody sock of Curt Schilling, the huge comeback against the Yankees, and now - the red moon on the night they clinch. Just weird.

I'm a Yankee fan. Wasn't happy they won, but what can you do. South Boston will fall into Boston Harbor, because everyone is going to be drunk for a month.

I am a Sox fan at heart.

I am glad that they finally won!...

Go Sox Go!

I am in shock...I sincerely thought the Cards had the better team overall...but I guess that's why they play the games.

Manny won a world series... :bleh:

Larry Walker didn't... ;_;

Hell has indeed truly frozen over.
