Well the world series is set. We got the comeback kids the Red Sox and a team who has been on the top of Major League Baseball for most of the league. This could be one of the most entertaining world series for a long time. I gotta go with my team and pick the Sox. I never gave up against the Yankees and stuck with them. I just think that after coming back against then NYY and having to play every game like its your last just gives you to much momentum. The Red Sox bullpen gave us one of the most gutsiest efforts you'll ever see. However the Cardinals line up is sooooo good. But in the end I think it comes down to pitching and I like the Sox.

I still am in shock down 3-0...wow.

Im fully expected the curse to come into play....a player randomly falling on a routine pop fly or phantom call, something awesome like that.....Im cheering for the sox but its almost as good to see the curse bite them in the butt

I'm cheering for fellow Canadian Larry Walker and the Cardinals. He should have been there in 94, now he finally gets his shot at a World Series ring.

Th reason thi series might be interesting is that both teams have pretty decent pitching and very powerful lineups..... ramirez/ortiz is pretty similair to Rolen/ Pujols... if the pitching falters, we could see some shootouts.... just great to see 2 new teams in there and not the yankees.... i prefer boston, but larry walker deserves a ring.

I'm cheering for the Sox, but I predict the Cards win in 7

As far as I am concerned, the Red Sox were merely the lesser of two evils in the ALCS. Glad they embarrassed the hell out of the Yankees, but I'm rooting for the Cardinals in this one.

Let the curse live on!

I dont know much about baseball.

But I like St. Louis in 7 games.

Boston wins Games 1,3, and 5.

St. Louis wins Games 2, 4, 6, and 7.

Pattern sound familiar?

This is the year that the curse is over!

Boston wins in 6.

They lose the first game and game 5 and then go on to win games 2,3, 4, and 6.

Boston isn't even in the same ball park as St.Louis is from a defensive aspect and that will ultimately be the difference in this series. St.Louis has 5 gold glovers and the one guy on Boston who is a gold glover doesn't even start. Other than that the batting lineups are close, the starting pitching likely goes to the Red Sox, the bullpens are close too. I think Larussa being the NL manager will have the managerial edge over Francona (even if he used to manage in the NL). Than theres the curse thing. Something bizarre like the Buckner incident will end up costing the Sox in the 7th game.

No DH for 1/2 the games (well depending how many they play), means Ortiz has to field (i.e. play 1st base) and not DH. Also means someone like Millar (or if not him, maybe they take out Nixon? or whoever is the coldest? etc) is not in the line up.

Boston does get home field advantage though, so that could play in big. (I think its Boston, right - the AL won the all-star game if I remember correctly?).

You are indeed correct.

I don't know...the curse is a living breathing entity that I don't see dying anytime soon. I just can't see them pulling it off. If the Bosox win the WS, expect to see pigs flying, Lanny and Dis getting along and all manner of other wacky sh*t going on.

Cards in 6.

What the heck was Suppan thinking?!

He should have run home!

Still 1-0 BoSox...

The BoSox are gonna go ahead 3-0 in the series, and the the Bambinos gonna wake up and be like what the ######, and they will lose 4 straight.

I'm cheering for the Bosox but I think it would be hilarious if that happened.

Sox win, Sox win!

Up 3 - 0 now. Do they win the 4th, or do a repeat of what they did to the Yankees (i.e. St. Louis wins 4 straight)?

I'm not a fan of either team, really, but I think it would be f'n awesome for them to lose the last 3 games. But I'm half-evil.

Well, i thought he'd do poorly tonight, but Pedro was the Cards' Daddy tonight. Settled in after a shaky start and coasted easily to victory.

It appears the curse of the Bambino is unraveling like Martha Stewart’s nightie during a rumble with the girls in C-Block.

Boston can break the curse tonight, 86 years of terrible luck could come to an end. Bill Buckner could finally live a normal life, and Boston can move on to a new chapter. This would be a great year for them to do it, after beating the Yanks while down 3-0, and Schilling's gutsy performances. On the other hand, how hilarious would it be for Beantown to lose 4 straight?

Tonight begins the ultimate ironic comeback as the Cardinals win tonight and caomeback from three down just as the Red Sox did last round to defeat the evil, whiney Red Sox.

Well a guy can hope can't he.

Just thinkin' about the whole curse thing...If Boston wins tonight, Imagine the explosion in that city. We thought we were ready to party, I can't fathom what the Sox fans are feeling right now.

3-0 Boston now. Watching the Cardinals, this is all but over.

Yeah it's probably too late to buy shares in a Boston window company. Those guys are going to make a fortune over the next few days.
