Looking for something interesting to do for a weekend, one of my friends wants to go away for the weekend with a girl, not a girlfriend, flying somewhere and we're trying to think of a good place to go. Going warm is to far.. So that's out, LA seems a bit pricey..

Any suggestions? Vancouver? They've been there a bunch.. but would consider it.. hmmm

Whistler?

Anything like that?

Vegas seems a bit pricey?

Wouldn't Montreal be the same?

I'll look into both though..

Anything in Canada that intrigues anyone?

How bout Victoria? Lots to see in a small area. Good restaurants and bars.
Not to sure about the weather this time of year though.

If you've never been there... awesome. Tonnes to see. Its just a bit grey and cold in typical Great Lakes winter fashion.

He can always leave the girl and pick one up there instead to save money. ;)

What about Chicago or Seattle? I've gotten cheap flights there before. Hotels in Chicago are pricey though.

Quick glance looks like about $1300 for flights... Maybe they were expecting things to be a little cheaper

Hmm... Seattle, much to do there? It's quite a bit more cheap $757 for two people

Seattle is brutal in the winter. I'd say Montreal or Chicago.

If you go to Chicago go to the big bar at the hyatt regency. Best bar ever ... 50m long bar.

Seattle's not much different from Vancouver in the winter.

Montreal is an expensive weekend...Vegas is a bit cheaper you'd probably get more bang for the buck too.

Phoenix is an option too...great weather, although a bit low on tourist stuff, other then golf and shopping.

San Fran is fairly inexpensive to fly too (not much more than Seattle), seeing as there are (still?) daily non stop flights there.

Could try Phoenix, since both WestJet and America West fly there.

It's February--you have to go to the Carnaval de Quebec! So much fun! It's like the Stampede in the winter! I would go back again in a second.

WestJet has a special on now, for travel to about middle of April I believe, various destinations, but you can fly to Victoria from Calgary I believe, stay in the Fairmount Empress for 4 nites, a few other perks, all flight and hotel costs, including all taxes, $477 per person.

This is what I would recommend as well.

You can also see Montreal (about 3 hrs by car from Quebec). If you're staying a bit longer than a weekend, you'd also have time to go see the Parliment buildings in Ottawa (about 2 hrs by car from Montreal).

It's a bit cold here now, but its been warming up a bit over the last couple days, so hopefully is stays like this for a bit.

That sounds more right, I was gonna say. 750 for 1 damn.

I was thinking about golfing but I'm only there for 3 days, and golf is expensive there. So I'll just party hard instead for 72 hours.
