We used Direct Energy, prices were on par with everyone else.

I'm not sure what's wrong with your furnace, but a couple of weeks ago the motor went on mine, during the night. When I woke up it was 47F in the house. Anyway, I was able to get a motor at Cdn Tire for $100 and swapping it wasn;t that difficult.

That went on my furnace last year and they charged me like $170 to fix it (but it was a Sunday).

I forget who it was (it was on the service sticker on the Furnace).

I'd do it, but I don't live in your neighborhood. Why don't you just try a handyman type guy. swing by the local pub during work hours and check out the vlt's. Probably find one there.

I don't know if they still do it but the gas company came out and replaced my thermocoupler. No charge except for the hardware.
