Oh please. You lost to the better team today. Our offense was too much in the second half. 32 2nd half points. 4 TD's, 1 FG, 1 punt in the 2nd half I think? Our offense stepped up large in the 2nd half and that was the reason we won, (yes I say we, i've deserved it being a colts fan for over 10 years).

Hey, Im not denying any of that, the Colts were good, but that penalty was crap and changed the game, who knows if Addai runs it in, maybe you settle for a FG. You don't know, but the one penalty changed the outcome of the game and it was a garbage call.

Wayne caught it to the 22..........and then that penalty brought it to the 11. You could have still stopped us there. We would have scored regardless, it would have just left less time for Brady to work with. It didn't change the outcome of the game.

ANY contact to the Qb's head, intentional or not, is a PF roughing the passer penalty. Has been for a while now. The correct call.

Yeah, there's a way to look at it, come on man.

It was a blow to the head! It was definately a penalty 100%! Even the announcers said "easy call right there". I was saying if it hadn't been a penalty (which it was 100%) it most likely would have resulted in a touchdown anyways the way our offense was playing. But it definately was a penalty regardless.

Dude, that is the best and easiest way to look at it. Now if reggie dropped the ball, NE recovered and the penalty changed the turnover, THEN that called would have been critical, but as it is, the colts were moving, and if anything it gave Brady more time at the end of the game.

I had a bad feeling that if they didn't score on that last possesion in the first half (New England, when they had glorious field position and got squat) that they'd pay for it. And they did. The better team won today. You can't take away what the Colts did after getting behind by 18 points. I tip my hat to them. A great game. I don't think the refs affected the outcome either way.

What caused this stout defense to wilt?

“I don’t know. I think we sat back and got comfortable, got on our heels a little bit,” said cornerback Ellis Hobbs (http://news.bostonherald.com/search/?keyword=Ellis+Hobbs&searchSite=recent) [stats (http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform.aspx?c=bostonherald&page=nfl/teams/077/playeraaa.aspx?id=5020,team=077)]. “We had had the dagger in them, we just didn’t twist enough. They kept functioning, they kept living and surviving, and lo and behold, they’re in the game. Now you look up, and we’re going home.”

Asante Samuel agreed.

“We just didn’t do what it takes. We had them down,” Samuel said. “But we came out in the second half, and let them drive all the way down (for a touchdown), and that really hurt us.”

Bottom line, the Colts outplayed the Pats in the half. No one in the Patriots locker room could argue with that assessment.

“Without a doubt, especially on defense,” Samuel said. “We couldn’t stop them. We stopped them a couple times, but we couldn’t stop them enough. We had to play better in order to win.”

For once, they didn’t have an answer for Manning. They couldn’t make enough adjustments to contain him.

“We were outexecuted and outplayed,” said defensive end Richard Seymour (http://news.bostonherald.com/search/?searchSite=true&keyword=Richard+Seymour&mode=all) [stats (http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform.aspx?c=bostonherald&page=nfl/teams/077/playeraaa.aspx?id=724,team=077)]. “We tried to suck it up and keep fighting. But as a defense, we gave up too many points.”

They bent, and finally broke.

As soon as the Colts controlled the clock for over 11 minutes in the 3rd quarter, I thought the Pats were in serious trouble. The Pats D just ran out of juice so Peyton could run them down the field as much as he needed to.

I think, in hindsight, challenging the Pats TD was a mistake. Not because the call was upheld, but because it took so long it gave the Pats a breather.

The two point TD convert was huge. Otherwise, NE only needed a field goal to win or tie at the end of the game, and Brady would not have forced the INT.

Another huge turn of events was when the Pats had the ball with under 3 to go and they get called for having too many men in the huddle. I know it was only 5 yards, but I have to think that the Pats could have got that all important first down had they been organized. If they get that first down, the clock would have gone to the two minute warning, the Colts only had 2 timeouts, so the Pats could have ran down the clock and if they had to, would have given the ball to the Colts with less than a minute to go. Oh well, **** happens, but its fun to play the what if game..

If the pats had got that third down it's over. Low and behold it's bob sanders that breaks it up.

The colts special team coverage was great against kc and baltimore. But it sucked yesterday. They need to get better for hester.

What an exciting interview by Belicheck after the game. Caldwell's eyes scare me
