Why is it when I set my time zone to GMT -6, the same as I do for windows xp, I'm still behind an hour when I read the through the posts? ex. this thread will be submitted at 10:37am local time (winnipeg), however it will say 9:37am. The obvious solution is set it to GMT -5, but I know -6 is the right setting!!
Just wondering...

Time zone test post.
EDIT: Hm, that seems to work for me (GMT - 7). What are the DST settings in your control panel set to?

edit: I need to have it set to GMT -5 to get the right local time for here in Winnipeg, however I know it should be GMT -6. It's not a huge deal or anything I'm just kinda wondering why it seems to be out of whack. Or am I wrong?

I ahve the same problem on my laptop at home. I think you need to check the time settings on the computer you are using.

What is your "DST Correction Option" set to? Mine is set to Auto detect.
Because currently being in CDT; it's the exact same time as EST. So if you say no daylight savings time; that'll mess it up.

Edit: Ya that did it, changed DST to auto-detect and set it back to GMT -6. Works great.
