I'd blame it on the ads but... well they aren't here yet.

I don't know, that's really strange. If it was a problem with the software there'd be tons of posts about it on the vB support forum.

Maybe try clearing the cache and stuff?

tried that but didn't work it's still crashing, but it seems like it's only happening on the game thread, and only when i refresh the page to see the new posts.

The game thread was incredibly slow tonite. My browser even crashed once. I noticed Shawnski say that his did as well. His crashed around the time of the Flames first goal, mine crashed around the time of the Flames 2nd goal.

I had a heck of a time trying to post, so I gave up on the game thread.

Hm, well let me know if you get it during normal times.. Game thread performance is an ongoing issue and it's possible with the new stuff this forum software uses that they're related.

That is what I was figuring, that it was game thread related. I have yet to have problems during any other time.

On other forums I'm on that use this software, we found it was crashing when we were quoting other people, and using IE6. The solution was the following:

Go to User CP
Click on "Edit Options"
Go to the bottom to "Message Editor Interface"
Change it from Enhanced to Standard.

Hopefully that helps.

Ah I see, a problem with the Javascript that runs the enahnced editors.

Cool, thanks ken0042.
