THN: Future Watch

Just picked up my favourite issue of THN. I only buy this one and the draft preview. Anyone pick up a copy?

Flames are ranked 29th in the league for prospects/under 21 NHLers. The only <21 NHLer we have is Dillon Dube. And we have only two prospects in the top 100. Valimaki at 25th and Pelletier at 74th. Gawdin, Zagorodniy and Pettersen round out our top 10.

Wow, Kaprizov and Knight strike me as way, way too high.

Kaprizov is an incredible player. Finished first in goals in the KHL and one of three players in the league to be above PPG, alongside his linemates Jaskin and Shipachyov. He does this while averaging far less ice-time than any of the top scorers on other teams. Only seven players 23 or under have lead the KHL in goals in the last 50 years and Kaprizov has done it twice.

Meme aside, he's the best player not in the NHL right now (Laf may have something to say about this, but). We'll see what he's made of next season.
