So Marleau is open to winning a cup before his career is over but Thornton is totally fine with going down on a sinking ship in San Jose... Maybe this is why Thornton couldn't lead the Sharks to a cup win.

He has made it abundantly clear that he is only interested in playing hockey in SJ.
