You could tell that Bennett did not do what was expected and practiced on that goal.

Dube was cruising to a spot in the zone not expecting the puck. Brodie was jumping up into the play. Both expected Bennett, with such time and space, to take it deeper and maintain possession and set things up.

The one that turned into a goal actually looked like a miscommunication to me. Gaudreau was heading towards where Bennett placed the puck, and instead of recieving the pass went glided to the bench for a line change. Hrudey kept calling it a bad pass because he missed Dube, but I didn't think Dube was the target.

Maybe Johnny was tired but it was such a bizarre play on his part because he probably could have made something happen there.

The one one, he definitely needed to get more zip on to get it back to the point.
