This year, I have put the max in, but in previous years, I didn't. I believe that I can put in more now to make up for those previous years. Is there an easy way to figure out how much I can actually put in?

Setup an online mycra account. It will tell you exactly how much room you have in your TSFA and RRSP.

This is excellent advice, it will also help you keep tabs on a lot of other related CRA information regarding your account.

If you have an accountant who is an Authorized Representative they can look in to some of this for you as well.
