That is fully respectable. Props to the guy for buying in now that he knows what is up. First year with a new team is always a challenge to adapt. I am impressed that it is in fact Bollig and not Raymond who adapted so fast.

Agree. Wouldn't be as obvious if Kulak had a defensive partner who could make an outlet pass. But Kulak is 6'1" 185#, with 10-15# more muscle he should be able to handle those bigger forwards. But his stick alone makes him worth keeping around.

For sure, but he doesn't control the puck as well as Brodie does in his own end. Brodie seemed more calm under pressure. I expect Hamilton will adjust and get better, but so far Brodie's ability to escape fore-checkers without giving up the puck and then find someone who's open with a good pass seems superior.

No Jiri Hudler out for #Flames to start 3rd period vs @NHLJets

Hopefully precautionary

Kulak so far only. Everyone is seems to be going through the motions. Actually, Bennett has been positively noticeable too.

In this game only, I feel like Bennett needs about 10 more pounds of mass for the style of game he plays. Making good sound hits/fore checks, but bounces off his skates too much.

Good thing he's still in the NHL. What would we possibly do without scumbags hitting people in the head over and over again?

Wideman doesn't look very good this game. I don't expect a whole lot from him defensively, but he's making Engelland look like a Norris winner out there.

All I've found so far is a vine of the scoreboard. Quite possibly the worst video ever but it looks like a headshot. Will have to wait for more video to surface

I feel that way about him generally. Would have preferred him in the AHL this year, at least to start.

I love it when TSN uses obviously old file footage for their flyover shots of Calgary where you can see the Christmas decorations on the side of the Telus building. At least they're not still using the shot with the Bow half constructed.
They showed one without the Bow in second intermission. Must have been from 2009 or so. 8 ave Place was just the core.

Gotta say, Bollig's skating has improved a LOT, and he's much better in his own zone. He's made a few nice little plays to calmly control the puck and exit the zone rather than spin around in circles like he did last year.

For those thinking Bollig might be waived, traded, or scratched regularly, I wouldn't count on it. I think he's got that spot on the 4th line all year long.

Flames looked awful tonight.

Offence had left the building before the game started. Zero timing with passes and unable to mount any sustained attack. Not a good sign for your final exhibition game.

Kulak held his own and looks to have secured a roster spot.
