If anyone has any large boxes that would be good for moving I would be happy to take them off your hands. I need to start packing up my house!

Those boxes that store produce (oranges, apples) etc can be had at a bunch of grocery stores. As long as the bottom isn't sticky (lay a paper bag on the bottom in that case, or wax/parchment paper), you're good to go. They're a easy size to pack, easier to carry due to shape, difficult to over pack and thus not so heavy they're difficult to move (big problem in many moves), durable and easy to stack. Bonus is size. Can easily stuff them in cars in a pinch.

Also... Free. Usually if you go ask a grocery chain, they'll give you some.

You might need to buy a big thick permanent marker. Just write the contents on the side of the box for easy finding of your belongings after the move. Only thing that comes close IMO is those bankers boxes, but they cost more, are smaller and less durable. Don't stuff a TV box, no one wants to figure out how to carry an over sized 300 lb box. 5 x 60lb is far easier to manage in a move.

Good luck.

UHaul sells them literally for $1.49 a box for great sized moving boxes.

And if you buy extras they'll take back unused ones for the price you paid as long as you have a receipt.

Price was more then 1.50 3.50 for a large and 2.50 ish for a medium. I did end up picking some up this way but always in need of more!

I think Home Depot was cheaper for boxes than the moving places. I can't remember how much though.

I just gave all mine away, sorry.

Yup, Home Depot is awesome for boxes. For about 75 bucks, you should be able to pack up a large house.

If you need some boxes, shoot me a PM, we are always recycling dresser and night stand boxes because we don't have a need for them, if I know ahead of time I can get my guys to save them. They may be on the slightly larger size, but you can always cut them down to be smaller.

The prices I quoted you originally though were assuming it was an order of 20+.
