After about a week of talks with multiple GM's the Columbus Blue Jackets finally traded disgruntled Patrick Marleau on Tuesday. Marleau has struggled to fit into the Jackets lineup and lately has been playing mostly on the 3rd line...and still sucking.

The Jackets are sending Marleau to the Lightning in exchange for a proven scorer in Matt Moulson. Moulson was briefly on the Jackets just over a month ago and in his short time here was an offensive juggernaut. We will be looking to him to get the offense going again which has been lacking lately. We hope he will be a good fit going into the playoffs.

The trade also frees up $2.5mill in Cheese which gives us more flexibility if we want to bring on another salary.

To TB:
Patrick Marleau

To Columbus:
Mat Moulson
2015 2nd(tor)
2016 3rd(chi)

Thanks Droopy for the trade talks.

Moulson is definately a sim fit in Columbus. good deal adding a 75ov forward for the Bolts though
