Hi, a quick question to landlords out there...

Are landlords required to provide the tenants at least 2 sets of keys to the premises?

I'm not positive, but I don't think its a requirement. (Assuming it isn't in your lease)

I always give two sets, for two reasons.
1) It costs <$5 to copy a couple keys, so its cheap goodwill to buy from someone who has possession of a substantial asset you own.
2) If you don't, they'll just go get it copied themselves. Then, there's a greater chance that they'll get a "few extras" for their friends, family, etc. Then you have a bunch of extra keys floating around.
