And the playoff drive is over.

Dissapointing year. We started off on fire and then the SIM decided Mike Ryder was a sim killer. We added Ryder while sitting in 2nd place in the conference back in Feb. after that we proceeded to lose 15 of 17 games. First playoff miss in 7 years.

Toronto is out too, thanks to the Sabres. Disappointing, that 0-8-3 stretch in February/March really killed our chances.

Sorry...missed my lines today.

Good to beat the Ducks all the same. Big games today from Perry and Pacioretty and Dats iced a close games with an empty netter.

Well it's coming down to it ... I have 4 pts and a game in hand on Florida. Florida has 3 games left. 1 loss by Florida and 1 win by me ( or even an OT game) would clinch for me.

oops, sorry forgot to send in the lines.

End of the 7 game winning streak unfortunately, but Halak had his first bad game in a while losing 5-3 when I outshot them 39-28. The 4 goals against in a row without replying will always hurt. Top 2 lines keep getting it done offensively so that's is a good thing, gaborik got his 39th and 40th goals. Penalty kill which has been good recently did not stop any of the 2.

Gotta hope for a flames loss to remain 2 points ahead for 2nd.

Sabres clinch! down 2-0 to the caps going into the 3rd, they reel off 3 straight, the 2nd unit powerplay clicking for the 2 last goals as Pouliot and Gagner try and make their case to stay in the top 6 as Higgins and Steen are nearly back from injury. Some healthy competition for spots heading into the playoffs. Vanek has gone cold lately and remains stuck at 99 points.

For the Sabres glad to be back in the dance, after missing last season. the offseason brought in several key new faces at the expense of high draft picks and looked like a bad gamble as the Sabres started 0-4, for a while teams were pretty keen to pass around the Sabres 1st which looked like a lottery pick. Acquisitions of Vanek and Brodeur while also costly righted the ship .

we'll see where this goes. right now looks like we can face NYI, OTT or MTL- all good teams, but we like how our team has gone lately. Netted 2.3 M of sponsorship cash for next year with the clinching which we'll really need

Big win to get back into 2nd in the conference. Balanced attack was the key today.

Sorry I missed lines for today, just got back from vacation but missed sending them in. Poor start by the team falling down 4-0. Almost completed the comeback in the third period but fell 1 goal shy and then Datsyuk got the EN.

Happy to squeak out a win without two top four defensemen and my #1 center. Need to get healthy before the playoffs.

Savard continues to produce with his new team.
