Thought this may be of interest, as there seems to be lots of metal fans on CP.

Lamb of God's Randy Blythe has been arrested in the Czech Republic on suspicion of manslaughter, according to reports.

The rocker's arrest is believed to stem from an incident at a 2010 Lamb Of God show in Prague's Club Abaton when a fan jumped onstage and was severely hurt in a scuffle. The concert-goer reportedly died as a result of his injuries.

from the reports of what happened and watching that clip, it looks like Randy was just shoving him off the stage after he rushed it for the 3rd time. considering what happened to Dimebag Darrel, i'd view that as perfectly justified self defense. hopefully the Czech courts agree

With that name, I always thought they were a Christian band.

With a name like Randy Blythe, I thought he was a second rate accountant.

**Update**: According to Novinky.cz, Randy Blythe's bail money has not yet arrived at the court account. LAMB OF GOD's management is attempting to transfer the funds as soon as possible. Once the bail has been met, the prosecutor will have to approve Blythe's release before he can leave the prison. Otherwise, the court will determine the conditions of the singer's release.

According to Blesk.cz, LAMB OF GOD frontman Randy Blythe will remain in the Pankrác Prison in Prague, Czech Republic for at least the next days in connection with the death of a fan more than two years ago.

Although it was reported on Saturday that Blythe would be released today after posting 4 million Czech Koruna bail (approximately $200,000 — an amount which Randy claimed was the equivalent of his annual income), it now appears that the singer won't be able to get his freedom until next week.

Judge Petr Fassati of Prague 8 district court stated: "There may well be certain conditions placed upon [Blythe's] release, such as staying in the Czech Republic, or the availability of a specific address. If the conditions are violated, it could lead to an international arrest warrant being issued."

I don't know - he has that dude by the hair and him and another guy throw him off the stage... doesn't look like self defense but we haven't seen the full footage and I don't know much about the 'scene' and what's normal and what not. Sounds like a head for the border and don't go back to Prague. :)

Randy is officially out of jail at the very least

The frontman of U.S. heavy metal band Lamb of God has been released on $400,000 bail from a Prague prison, several weeks after his arrest in connection with a fan's death in 2010, a court official said Friday.

Randy Blythe, 41, was arrested on June 27 and is being investigated for bodily harm resulting in death.

His Czech lawyer, Martin Radvan, said Blythe left Prague for the United States on Friday, a day after his release.

Radvan said that police believe that during a 2010 concert in Prague an audience member climbed onto the stage and Blythe pushed him off. The fan hit the floor with his head and later died of the injuries, police said.

Blythe said he was not aware of what had happened to the fan at Prague's Abaton club and was surprised to be arrested when he returned to the Czech Republic to play another show scheduled on June 28, said Radvan.

"We don't know yet if (the death) was caused by our client or in a different way," the lawyer said. The police investigation is unlikely to be completed until winter, he said.

Martina Lhotakova, a spokeswoman for Prague's Municipal Court, said Blythe was released Thursday when the court upheld a lower court decision that had rejected a request by prosecutors to keep Blythe in custody.

The prosecutors argued that Blythe could leave the country and never return.

It will be interesting to see if they rebook the concerts they had to cancel, including the one that was suppose to be @ the Big Four tonight.
