Tough matchup for the Jays - get the heart of the Braves' rotation.

5-2 Braves
4-2 BJS
5-4 BJS

Jays continue on winning 2 of 3, and keep climbing up the standings.

Looking forward to seeing Hutch pitch again. I agree, gonna be a really tough series for the Jays...hopefully the sticks are on as runs will be hard to come by.

I'm just really glad we get to see the lineup back to normal with EE and Davis in there tonight and not left handed starting pitching coming against us.

I thought Drabek had a decent at bat for his 1st career at bat. Even though he struckout, he did take a couple good cuts.

Yeah, he looked better than what I was expecting. Took some nice swings and I like that he didn't chase that one breaking ball too.

Jose either has a bad rep or will get one very soon for arguing so many calls. It's becoming a daily occurance it seems like.

1-0 after 3 innings. Felt bad for Drabek there, he was barely missing with a lot of close pitches, he probably deserved a call or two.

Was really neat listening to Smoltz that inning. Great speaker with some interesting stories. Wish he'd stick around for another inning, but he's going to be in demand tonight.

Jose!

Jays now lead 2-1. Gotta give Drabek credit for hanging in there tonight.

Darn, 2-2.

I love baseball with no DH, I wish the whole league was like that.

KelVarnsen

That was not a balk.

KootenayFlamesFan
06-08-2012, 08:09 PM
Why can't you argue a balk? Seems like a strange rule.

Karl

Whichever stupid ass ump it was that called that ballk needs his head cracked open. Seriously.

Wow, they got out of a huge jam there. That could have been the game if they managed to get a base hit. Still down by one, 2 more innings to go.

Hockey

I don't think I will ever fully understand what is and what isn't a balk.

Leadoff double. Let's get him in here.

Now on 3rd with 1 out.

KootenayFlamesFan
06-08-2012, 08:35 PM
EE is on 3rd with one out in the 8th. Really need to drive him home somehow.

KootenayFlamesFan
06-08-2012, 08:38 PM
That will do it...........Escobar bounces one off of home plate to 3rd to bring in EE. Nice.

Hockey
06-08-2012, 08:38 PM
Good heads up base-running by EE.

Hockey
06-08-2012, 08:39 PM
That was a sick play by Prado to get JP out.

Karl
06-08-2012, 08:56 PM
Rajai now at 3rd with 2 steals after getting an infield single. Lawrie at the plate...1 out.

Edit: Damn!

Hockey
06-08-2012, 08:57 PM
Rajai stranded at 3rd.

The Big Chill

Ugh, what a waste.

Karl
06-08-2012, 09:05 PM
Aaagghh crap, now Prado at 2nd with a 2-bagger, 1 out. C'mon Jays.

Karl
06-08-2012, 09:08 PM
2 down now. Good, good...

Frasor does well to get out of that one. On to extra innings............

Hockey
06-08-2012, 09:11 PM
Big K by Frasor.

Going to extras now.

Karl
06-08-2012, 09:20 PM
Kelly sure emphasizes that K in KJ...

Karl

Cordero now in...hope he does just fine...

Why did JPA even throw that?!?!

What a depressing way to lose a game. Just beat themselves.

Son of a bitch

Karl
06-08-2012, 09:36 PM
What sucks even more is that one run was gifted to the Braves on a balk call that's pretty much never made in that situation.

howard_the_duck
06-08-2012, 10:10 PM
Ugh very frustrating. We lose in extra innings again! I didn't watch but Cordero again???!!

moon
06-08-2012, 10:19 PM
I didn't watch but Cordero again???!!

Not really his fault.

Arrencibia much more to blame.

KelVarnsen
06-08-2012, 10:33 PM
Yeah, I can't fault Cordero for this one. Infield single on ball hit softly to Johnson who was playing deep, then a sac bunt, then a steal attempt at 3B that JPA double clutched on and proceeded to throw the ball into LF.

Turner Field is kryptonite for the Jays.

Toronto will get to meet a guy who could have a Cy Young Award in the next five years tomorrow. Julio Teheran, Baseball America's #5 prospect, will get the spot start tomorrow. Tim Hudson being pushed back due to a an ankle injury.

Inter-league play is kryptonite for the Jays.

Being away from .500 is apparently also kryptonite for them.

Inexcusable error by Rasmus.

The team looks disinterested.

Jays bat around in the 5th, and take the lead.

Seemed a little premature to pull Teheran, no? I guess he's not one of their regulars, but still..

Good inning. Nice to see the kids smash the ball. Nice blooper by the pitcher too.
