The Quebec Nordique have made some moves to add depth from the past, present, and future before the expansion draft.
Coming to the Nordiques are oldie Mark Messier from the Detroit Red Wings, Thomas Holmstrom from the Los Angeles Kings, and Kelly Guard from the Chicago Blackhawks.
"We like the leadership of Messier, the presence of Holmstrom, and the potential of Guard."
The next challenge for the Nordiques is to get Messier under contract for one more season, but to make sure he will play, or that we won't be punished for taking a chance on the old man.
