Ha.. my roommates and I were just talking about that and wondering how that can actually taste good. If anyone does find one definitely post it so that I can try it and be proved wrong.

I've been to Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles a couple of times. Really, really good. Chicken is excellent.
My sister gets hit on by the black guys there unceasingly, so we don't really go there anymore.

Glady's kitchen is actually where I got hooked on chicken and waffles.. I go there every time I head into Atlanta. Fried chicken with white gravy, fried corn, and mac&cheese.. Corn bread is so good, and with the maple nut waffles........ mmmmmm
We were in DC this past September and had some chicken and waffles, and now I am craving it again...
Chicken on the way's chicken is just not the same ... When they do it right, the chicken is not greasy at all! I don't know how they do it.

The Fryer (or oil) at the proper (high) temperature and not overloading the pan so the oil can't cool down. You get an instant sealing where the moisture stays in the chicken and oil stays out. Alton Brown ("Good Eats") did a deep fry show where he measured the oil before and after all his frying he had lost less oil than most people use when sweating an onion in a saucepan. It's why deep fried turkey is so good. Not greasy and all the moisture is sealed in. No nasty dried out white meat.
I've only had chicken and waffles once. It was at the BB King's restaurant in the Mirage in Las Vegas. It's a pretty awesome meal to have for breakfast. It even came with a cup of hot sauce and I ordered grape drink to complete the experience.
