Hawks/Pens shake things up

Well the Hawks have not been clicking as of yet and they decided to shake things up and bring in a couple of veterans.

To the Pens
Mike Ribeiro
Brooks Laich

To the Hawks
Shane Doan
Brandon Morrow

What we lost in youthful enthusiasm, we gained in hard nosed veteran leadership. Plus I hate that punk Ribeiro.

I like this deal for the Hawks. 2 captains for a whiner and a decent young player.

Personally I hate Ribiero and like the other 3 players involved in this deal. What it came down to for us was securing our team up the middle. We were horrible on faceoff's and losing a ton of tight games. Doan's 29% and Morrow's 38% success rate in the circle this season wouldn't really allow us to leave them in the middle. With Laich and Ribiero we will at least be able to win a few draws. And as much as I hate Ribiero he is one of teh best offensive centers in the league. He is one of only 5 centers to add 20 goals and 50 assists in each of the last two seasons. We saw that the Hawks had more then enough centers and could use Doan and Morrow on the wings were they are much better.
