It kind of reminds me of a timeline of Calgary's skyline, starting scarce then eventually growing out... probably reading too much into it.
It's better than the Flames 10th year anniversary logo... or is it?
That's a more memorable anniversary logo than that POS for a 30 year one! Did some 10 year old design that new logo or did the Flames go bust signing too many players for the upcoming season?
WTF is that. Are they trying to be hip with steet culture or something?
That logo is pure failure and disgraceful to the team and the city.
Holy moly! A disgrace to the team and city? I think you need to relax a bit, bud.
I don't venture into the FoI very often, but when I do, I often come across overboard posts like this that make me cringe to know that Flames brass, media, and players actually read this site.
It's just a logo. It's not that bad. And even if it was, it's no "disgrace". About the only way the Flames could disgrace the city is by putting an Oilers logo on their jerseys.

Ok, I exaggerated slightly for dramatic effect.
But the point remains...the logo is really horrible, and obviously most people on the board agree. The team is not a joke and should'nt be treated as such by developing crappy anniversary logo's, crappy jersey retirement banners, and other things. To me that stuff just screams amateur hour and I think part of being respected and taken seriously as a team is the aesthetic and level of professionalism you display with your public image. If I owned the Flames, or any business for that matter, I would never ever say "its just a logo". Just my 2 cents.
