Forwards
The Sharks are lead by the dynamic duo of Daniel Briere and Sidney Crosby. These two centeres are flanked by a talented collection of wingers that includes Shane Doan, Martin Havlat, Marian Hossa, Slava Kozlov and Alexander Frolov. Thats only their top 6.
The Oilers are epically outmatched here as the collection of Michael Cammalleri, Martin Erat, Brendan Shanahan, Patrick Sharp, Katie Perry, Martin Straka, and Antoine Vermette can't even hold the Sharks guys jocks let alone match up to them in hockey. Although Perry would probably scare them if they passed out drunk at a party by trying to make out with them.
Defence
Just when Oiler fans thought it couldn't get worse, it does. This is so one sided it is funny. Niedermayer, Pronger, Allen, Havelid, Ranger....all better than the Oilers best defenceman. Even if Willie Mitchell is the best shut down defenceman in real hockey right now by a frickin country mile.
Goal
One team has a Vezina nominee here...yeah again the Sharks really have the better player in Tim Thomas. Lucky for the Oilers Luongo is rated better for now.
What to expect....well the Sharks got their scare and woke up to win 3 in a row. I think you can bet your house, kids, functioning anatomy, or anything else you value presciously that the Sharks will win this series and that it will be over in 5 or less games and probably in 4.
Ryan has a phenominal team that I really have no hope in beating. Unless the SIM curses him with some serious injuries and I get some epic overachievement out of my team. My run ends here. Too bad, I'd like to stop the Sharks here and limit the amount of cap they collect in playoff winnings so that they might have to trade a player or two this offseason and lose a free agent.
