Get out your throwing shoes. Bush is coming to Calgary!
I wonder if it will be free? hehe.
http://www.calgaryherald.com/Bush+sp...336/story.html
Former president George W. Bush is coming to Calgary for his first confirmed speaking event since leaving office last month.
The private event, which is being called “A conversation with George W. Bush,” will be held March 17 at the Telus Convention Centre.
Bush will share his “thoughts on his eight momentous years in the Oval Office” and will discuss “the challenges facing the world in the 21st century,” according to the event invite.

I wonder if anyone is brave enough to throw a shoe at him or wrist a nice cowboy hat at him.

Lets face the facts the only thing getting tossed his way is a white cowboy hat from our hat slinging mayor.

I would love to go.
My girlfriend saw Bill Clinton a while back and said it was quite the experience.
Lets see what the tickets are going for.

You know, I actually feel kind of bad for him. It's not like he woke up one day and decided he wanted to be one of the most hated men of the decade.
That being said, his lecture actually might be pretty good...
And by good, I mean hilarious.

^^ I think those would be hard to throw. You'd need a launching platform apparatus of some kind, and, I know hes a ######, but I think even he would notice a shoe-launching catapult being wheeled in.

Dad went and was bored to tears. He likes bill as a public speaker, but didn't find it interesting in the least. Bush is about 50 levels below Clinton as a speaker so I don't think it would be worth it.

I'm going to go just to watch some stupid uncreative granola eating throwing his shoe, thinking how clever he is and then screaming "Don't tase me bro" as the cops beat him down with a night stick.
